Edwardian Silver Box Hair Curling Tongs Heater 1901 Matthew John Jessop
Excellent condition. Superbly decorated silver exterior with Thistle decoration, hallmarks to base. Button press catch and monogrammed cartouche to lid “AOSB 1904”. Inside with base metal silver plated tong heater stamped E.P. PARIS. Some wearing to the plating inside and some damage to the hinge but catch and hinge both work well. Some knocks at the high points to the external silver body mainly on the lid but due to the design they’re not too noticeable. 17cm x 6cmx 5.5cm high.
