A W. T. Copeland and Sons Naval Mess Bowl. Transfer printed with blue decals for Mess No. 12.
According to the original owner, it was recovered from the bottom of Portsmouth Harbour by his Father while diving in the 60s. Apparently most of these services were discarded over the sides in the harbour when new services cane in the replace them. I've been unable to accurately date it but I would say mid to late Victorian.
The bowl measures 9cm tall x 13.5cm diameter. There is some chips and hairline cracks.
